Target GroupsAbout 28.000 persons in the communities I and IV of the Bamako district will have access to drinking water. Some 12.000 people will have adequate sanitation facilities.
ObjectivesImproving the access to safe drinking water and sanitation for the underprivileged population in 8 districts of municipalities I and IV of the Bamako district.
Main results- About 28.000 people have sustainable access to drinking water.
- About 12.000 people have individual basic sanitary infrastructure or have access to public sanitary services.
- The population involved adopts better hygienic behaviour and uses the water points and sanitation infrastructure in an adequate way.
- Each district has a community based organisation for sustainable management of the public infrastructure.
- Communities I and IV have gathered real experiences with respect to municipal client-contractorship.
