= Irrigation and integrated water resources management in Terreneuve (near Gonaïves).

Target groups- The 110 farmer families that use the irrigation system.
- The management committee of the system.
- The agricultural association (Organisation de Développement de Vieux-Camps, 400 members), and the umbrella organisation FODL (Féderation des Organisations de Développement de Lagon, 1500 members).
- The departmental office of the ministry of Agriculture (DDA) and the local municipal councils.
- The population of a part of the stream basin of Lagon (10.000 people).
ObjectivesContributions to a sustainable valorisation of natural resources in a part of the sub river basin of Lagon (municipality Terre Neuve), through the rehabilitation of the irrigation system and the participative execution of master plan.
Main results- The irrigation system of Vieux-Camps is restored and functional during the entire year.
- Reparation works are executed on two ravines.
- The farmers and their management committee are better educated and have the knowledge and means for a good management and maintenance of their system, with a equitable system for the division of water.
- A global management plan is executed with participation of the different local water users.
