ObjectiveParticipatory management structures and processes guarantee a sustainable performance of the rural drinking water, irrigation water and sanitation services for 75,000 users in the 6 districts.
Main results- The newly installed or rehabilitated systems are all governed by a representative and functioning water committee, that has received specific training on administrative, financial and technical aspects.
- The different water committees are efficiently coached by water associations and/or municipal governance structures, with representation from both consumers and local governments.
- The 2nd-line structured water organization are integrated in the long term plans and vision of the drinking water and sanitation sector in each district.
