Main results- IWRM plans are established and implemented for 4 small basins in Cañar in consultation with all users, including social organisations and local authorities. The basins are managed in a participatory way.
- The management plans are scientifically backed-up by mathematical models, developed in cooperation with the local university.
- In Oña-Saraguro, the necessary measures for protection of the water resources are analysed, decided and implemented.
- Local actors are reinforced towards improved management of natural resources and towards an optimised use of these resources for agricultural production.
