She has won the second of the Waterlines’ ‘From our water correspondent’ competitions, giving regular updates over the course of a year from the life of a fieldworker.

Waterlines is a magazine for fieldworkers, engineers, health practitioners, community development workers, policymakers and others interested in low-cost, appropriate technology for water supply and sanitation.

The journal also provides guidance for anyone who has a water component to their projects in other sectors. Waterlines considers the key challenges facing those in the water and sanitation sector and suggests how these issues may be tackled and resolved using appropriate technologies and organizational structures and with reference to wider policy frameworks.

Waterlines’ recent themes have included Refugees; Financing the water sector; Rainwater harvesting and Sustainable rural water supply.
