Target Groups

  • Support and Training to 20 village councils and consumer organisations involved in actions in the field in Bamako and the inner delta.
  • Promote cooperation and exchange amongst stakeholders active in the water sector.

Objective

The relevant stakeholders have increased capacities (vision, conceptualisation and implementation) to improve performance against their responsibilities and to contribute to the development and implementation of national policy.

Main Results

  • Some villages take concrete IWRM action (organised consultation amongst consumers, water conservation measures, management memorandums).
  • Partner villages actively manage water and sanitation infrastructure on their territory.
  • On site experiences and lessons learnt, as well as developed visions and strategies are shared and disseminated.
  • The cooperation agreements between PROTOS and its partners and their expertise are visible in national, sector and regional discussions and forums.
